Dental Care Available in the Spring
The City of Manchester Oral Health Program is very excited for the upcoming school year and looking forward to providing quality comprehensive dental care to our Manchester students. Last year we served over 600 children in the Manchester School District and look forward to seeing even more this year.
I wanted to let you know that I will be stopping by with Dental Permission Forms that go home with all of your students. These forms must be filled out in order for us to provide treatment for a student. We are trying to expand our efforts to increase the return rate of the forms in hopes to capture the many students we know are in need of our services. I have provided a link below as many of you mentioned in last year’s survey that you would like to include this in your school newsletter or website. There is a printable version of our permission form available there.
We will also be placing posters up about 2 weeks before our scheduled visit with information for parents on when we will be there and how to sign students up. I can also provide information for your teachers at that 2 week mark as they are the ones with the students daily and know their needs best and would be able to help identify children in need.
The dental van will be at your school on : 5/4/20 – 5/15/20
German Exchange Program
The first MANEX German Exchange informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 4:30 pm in room 305. Come to find out how to apply to attend school in Germany for a few weeks in Spring Semester and to host a German friend for a few weeks in the Fall Semester. All who are interested in participating this school year and in the future should attend this meeting. This is a great way to earn community service hours, travel in Europe, become eligible for the district ambassador award, brag on college applications, learn language skills, and make life-long European friends!
