Would you like help with your resume?

My name is Laura Jacobs, I’m a Research Manager here at I wanted to reach out and let you know of our recently published resources and tools that could be helpful.

As I’m sure you’ve seen, it’s easy for teen students to overlook the potential professional value within their current experience. Oftentimes, they don’t realize the foundational professional skills they are building and showcasing in class projects, extra curricular activities and clubs, volunteer work, and even in entry level minimum wage jobs. Our resources and tools aim to help high schoolers create resumes that can frame their current life experiences in a way that highlights them as well rounded, quality individuals for their next employer and even college applications. LNA Training Opportunity for New & Recent Graduates!

The NH-JAG (NH Jobs for America’s Graduates) Program is offering this great opportunity.

Their specific focus is helping youth (16-24) who have a desire to work in Health Care, start by obtaining their LNA License. They partner with the American Red Cross, who provides the Nurse Assistant Training Program.

There is no cost to a student to participate in NH-JAG; pending eligibility. In fact, we pay participants a wage during their clinical rotation so while in the program, they will be earning income!

Additional employment and educational support is available to participating students.

For eligibility for NH-JAG Out of School LNA Program, a participant must be:

· Between the ages of 16 and 24

· Be out of school (Graduate or a drop out)

· Participants must also meet an additional barrier to employment determined by JAG Staff.

NH JAG can start working with upcoming graduates to determine eligibility now, so that they will be ready to start training this summer following graduation.

It’s a great time to become an LNA. Healthcare needs are expected to grow over 20% in the next 3 years; so getting trained and in a position now will help not only the student but the facilities who are short staffed, as there is a critical shortage of LNA’s across New Hampshire.
