Looking for an Alternative Way to Pursue a Career in Healthcare?

National College Decision Day has passed and for students who didn't make a commitment, higher education may seem out of reach. Whether it's because of how long traditional college might take, how far it might move them from home or how expensive it can be, Edumed recognizes that immediately pursuing a bachelor's degree isn't for every high school graduate. To help these students, we have created a set of guides that explores how different accelerated healthcare programs can get them into a career faster - and oftentimes cheaper - than a 4-year degree.

I've put some links below so you can see how your students can better understand these fast-track medical education programs. These could be a great fit for students who aren't looking to get a bachelor's degree but are still looking for a great career in healthcare.

Summer Summit at Colby-Sawyer College!

Our Summit, is a free seven-day pre-college experience that helps students explore why college is valuable, how to get there, and thrive when they arrive. This year, we’re looking forward to returning to an in-person Summit as we’ve done in the past!

Expense Paid LNA Training----Please Read Criteria

Dear West Seniors & Parents,

NH JAG is recruiting new candidates for our upcoming program year beginning July 1! Our specific focus is helping youth (16-24) who have a desire to work in Health Care, start by obtaining their LNA License. We partner with LNA training programs around the state.

There is no cost to a student to participate in NH-JAG; pending eligibility. In fact, we pay participants a wage during their clinical rotation so while in the program, they will be earning income!

Additional employment and educational support is available to participating students.

For eligibility for NH-JAG Out of School LNA Program, a participant must be:

· Between the ages of 16 and 24

· Be out of school (Graduate (diploma or HiSET) or a drop out) and not enrolled in any post-secondary schooling

·Participants must also meet an additional barrier to employment determined by JAG Staff.

It’s a great time to become an LNA. Healthcare needs are expected to grow over 20% in the next 3 years; so getting trained and in a position now will help not only the student but your facility, who may be short staffed, as there is a critical shortage of LNA’s across New Hampshire.

Please share with anyone you know, personal or professional, to pass the word about this FREE (to those that qualify) LNA Training Program!

Thank you for your time.
