The NH State Assessment for juniors is the SAT. West will be administering the Digital SAT again this year from Wednesday, March 22nd through Friday, March 24th. Students will be testing just one of those three days. Student test day assignments will be emailed closer to the test week so please be on the lookout for that. The SAT is not only the state assessment for juniors, but it is a college entrance exam required by most four year colleges. Taking the SAT with Essay normally costs $60.00 but since it is our state assessment, it is free of charge. We encourage juniors to practice before test day as practice has been shown to increase scores significantly. Practice booklets were handed out in junior advisories. You can also find the booklet at:

Before test day, please be sure to get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at school by 7:45 AM with a couple of pencils for scrap work and a calculator. You may bring a snack but snacks will be provided. Cell phones are strictly prohibited at all times throughout the testing period, including breaks. Please make sure you have a bag or backpack to place your cell phone in before testing. If you do not have one, a Ziploc bag will be provided. Testing should wrap-up by 12:45 PM but may finish earlier or later. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your school counselor.
