PSAT's at West

This is just a reminder that West High School is pleased to be administering the Digital PSAT-NMSQT free of charge to all sophomores and any paying juniors from Wednesday, October 11th through Friday, October 13th from 7:45 AM to approximately 12:30 PM in the library.  The cost of the PSAT for juniors is $25.00.  Juniors can bring cash, check or money order made out to Manchester High School West to the guidance office until the deadline, which is Thursday, September 28th at 3:00 PM. Fee waivers are available for students who qualify (i.e., have free/reduced lunch and/or participate in ETS or Upward Bound). Student test day assignments will be posted at each end of the cafeteria the week before testing.  Please be sure to check your test date before Wednesday, October 11th and arrive to school no later than 7:50 am.  The PSAT is the practice test for the SAT, which is a college entrance exam required by most four year colleges and is also the NH State Assessment for juniors.  The tests measure critical reading, writing and mathematics skills.  To prepare for test day, students should get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at school no later than 7:45 am with a calculator.  Students are encouraged to practice at khanacademy.org, EBSCO's Prepstep (link below) and/or download the SAT Question of the Day App.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your student's counselor.
