Yesterday afternoon Mr. Linehan hosted a beautiful poetry slam opportunity that turned into a showcase for Slam Free or Die poets! Each visiting writer shared a poem, including the former West student Matt Richard and it was an absolute joy to hear them read.
Our own Mr. Linehan had me nearly to tears with his reading and Matt shared a poem about his experience here at West that was emotional and moving.
I just wanted to share the work that Mike is doing to bring poetry alive here at West and it was just a beautiful West moment to be a part of.
