For Sophomores, Juniors & Parents,

West High School is pleased to once again be administering the PSAT-NMSQT free of charge to all sophomores and any paying juniors on Wednesday, October 12th from 7:45 am to approximately 12:45 pm. The PSAT is the practice test for the SAT, which is a college entrance exam required by most four year colleges and is also the NH State Assessment for juniors. The tests measure critical reading, writing and mathematics skills. The Manchester School District has all sophomores take the test to prepare them for this assessment. Juniors who plan to apply to four year colleges should take the PSAT again this fall to help them improve their scores. The cost for juniors is $25.00. Juniors can bring their cash, check or money order payment made out to Manchester High School West to the guidance office no later than Friday, September 30th at 3:00 pm. To prepare for test day, students should get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at school no later than 7:40 am with two #2 pencils and a calculator. Students are encouraged to practice at khanacademy.org and/or download the SAT Question of the Day App. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your student's counselor.

Attention Seniors Planning to Go to College

NHHEAF will be coming to West to do their Financial Aid/FAFSA presentation for seniors planning to go to college and their parents on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:00 PM in the West cafeteria. We are excited to have this presentation back in-person this year! Please use the Notre Dame entrance.
